TONYA NIELD

OFFICE MANAGER

I was born and raised in Sandy, UT with loving parents. I am the oldest of five children, so I spent a lot of time babysitting as a kid. I attended Ricks College, where I met my wonderful husband, and then graduated from BYU with my Bachelors in Business Management. I have four amazing children, two daughter-in-laws, one son-in-law, and two perfect grandchildren and two dogs. I have lived in Idaho for 25 years and call Chubbuck my home. I spent twelve years working as a commercial loan assistant for various banks around town until I found the perfect place to work at High Deseret Physical Therapy. My attention to detail and ability to multi-task has enabled me to be efficient and productive. I enjoy visiting with patients and hearing their stories.

Kindness and Faith. You never know what others are going through behind the scenes, so treat them with kindness and compassion. My world rotates around my faith and my family. I couldn’t do what I do without the support of both.

“Faith, it doesn’t make things easy, it makes them possible.”

I try to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patients from the moment they walk in the door for the first time to the time they complete their treatment and graduate from our care. Many patients do not understand how insurance and physical therapy work together. I try to present a clear picture of their insurance benefits, how they apply to physical therapy and what their estimated responsibility will be for their treatment. Patients appreciate receiving this information prior to treatment.

High Desert Physical Therapy has the best staff and the best patients. We come to work ready to help and treat our patients and each other to reach our full potential.

What is Tonya Watching, Reading, or Listening to?

  • I love listening to books, so to pick a favorite is impossible. I listen to a wide variety ranging from Sci Fi to self-help. I’ll listen in the car, doing housework, working in the yard or just laying in bed.

When not working I enjoy spending time with my family playing games, camping, riding side by sides, or just sitting around having great conversations. I love attending broadway shows and ballets. I love to travel and can’t wait to see the world.
