MADELINE LEWIS
PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT
I grew up in good ol’ Poky. I earned my degree at ISU. I have my associates degree and technical certificate to work as a physical therapist assistant. I worked at another clinic here in town while going to school and for a year following. While there, my roles ranged from being a therapy tech and office assistant to then becoming a full fledged PTA following graduation. I gained good knowledge and experience while there, but have learned plenty more since making my way to High Desert.
Honestly, kindness, loyalty, friendship, perseverance, growth, love.

I haven’t taken any specialty courses thus far. I work with patients to get them back to their prior level of function or to a point where they feel comfortable with what they’ve be able to achieve with therapy. I’ll treat whatever is thrown at me, but I like cases that focus on cervical issues. Something that patients deal with that I want to help out with are the fear and frustration that comes from having had an injury or surgery.
One thing I like about working here is the respect between coworkers and patients alike, the learning curve, the opportunity to help others.
